About the Instant Action Group:The aim of the Instant Action Group is to urgently investigate methodologies for raising revenue for short-term climate change projects without adverse impact on struggling economies.
the immediate needs of Africa and other developing nations can be addressed in a realistic and co-ordinated manner
As a core member, RTvat – a non-profit group based in Brussels – has proposed a solution for EU member states to greatly reduce VAT fraud. If 50% of this immediate reduction was applied to aid for Africa (being over €30 billion per annum), the EU would have met its targeted obligations without any cost to the taxpayer or any increase in borrowing. By working together in a partnership commitment for immediate and effective action while recognising the economic realities of the global economy, business and governments can begin to reverse the disastrous environmental and human impact of climate change. |
